Description

Timber Harvesting Plans (THPs) approved in the past 15 years by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, permitting timber harvest for commercial purposes on non-federal lands. Data and feature representations contribute to assessment of cumulative effects from timber harvesting in planning watersheds and support the planning, regulation, enforcement, and oversight of commercial timber harvesting on non-federal lands in California. For more information, see Subchapter 7, Article 2, Timber Harvesting Plan, of the California Forest Practice Rules . Data includes 15 most recent years. After the launch of CalTREES on 10/1/2018, the harvesting document number format changed. The first THP with the new format is 1-18-00108-MEN. Under the new document number format, THP number is consecutively assigned statewide (no longer consecutively assigned within each region as before the launch of CalTREES). For example, 1-19-00005-DEL (the fifth THP in 2019 and Region 1) was followed by 2-19-00006-SIE (the sixth THP in 2019 and the first THP in Region 2). THP number format was also changed from 3-digit format to 5-digit format after the launch of CalTREES.
